I know we’re a week behind schedule with this, but I’ve been extremely busy with life outside toys. 🙂

Here’s the latest Ask Matty Q&A from our pals at Mattel.

Can you give us some approximate shelf dates for the new Batman Legacy figures we saw, including the Batman / Catwoman 2-packs, Harley Quinn, and Nighting from Arkham City, and the First Appearance Batman and Golden Age Catwoman? Any more Batman Legacy waves planned before movie figures take over the shelves?

There will be one more wave, which will come end of December/early January.

Masters of the Universe Classics, DC Universe Classics Wave 18, Justice League Unlimited and More On Sale 11/15

It’s a pretty big sale day tomorrow (and for the next couple of weeks) at MattyCollector.com. On the Masters of the Universe Classics front, you’ve got fan favorite Snout Spout and She-Ra’s Swiftwind as the Club Eternia subscription figures. And don’t forget to get Bubble Power She-Ra, who is not part of the sub, if you want a She-Ra that can actually ride Swiftwind. This She-Ra can be combined with the original release for the classic look with updated articulation.

On the DC front, DC Universe Classics Wave 18 is also on sale today as individual figures, and in what I can only characterize as an end of year clearance, Retro Action DC Super Heroes and Justice League Unlimited are out in force. All the JLU 4-packs are priced to move, as long as you can get 9 or more of your closest collector friends in on the deal. 🙂

Ask Matty Q&A Round-Up for 10/1

We know updates have been pretty sparse here since San Diego Comic-Con – we’ve all been super busy with real life. But I’m booked for a quick trip to New York next week for NYCC – so stay tuned!

We’re back with the October edition of Ask Matty. Because of New York Comic-Con, Mattel won’t have another Q&A until November. Be sure to send in your questions as we get our coverage of NYCC up, since the next round of questions are due on the 15th.

1) We know we’ll get toys for The Dark Knight Rises, but what are the chances of Batman Legacy or another non-movie Batman line getting some shelf space in 2012?

In 2012, our collector product efforts will focus on Batman Legacy in the Spring, and TDKR Movie Masters once the movie product launches.

Q: What’s Better Than Storing Your Action Figures in Big Plastic Tubs? v3

A: Actually having space to display them! 🙂

I waffled on whether to call this the third installment in a series of posts showing off the now not-so-new action figure display – because this is really not much of an update. In the first installment, I talked about setting up a new action figure display consisting of shelving cubes, after we put in new carpet. In the second, I talked about adding tap lights to that display.

For this mini-installment, I’m going to talk about running out of room, primarily in my Mattel cubes.
