SDCC 2014: Bluefin Tamashii Nations, Part 2

Here are more pics from Bluefin Tamashii Nations’ booth at SDCC 2014:

S.H. FIGUARTS DC INJUSTICE

I’ve never played the game, but I’m lovin’ the look of this Injustice Batman! They also had Injustice Joker on display. Both figures come with new exclusive accessories, a mask for Batman and a gas mask for Joker.

They also were teasing silhouettes of Injustice Superman and Harley Quinn.

SDCC 2014: Sideshow Collectibles 1/6 Scale DC and Marvel Super-Heroes

SDCC 2014 Sideshow Collectibles One Sixth Scale DC Super-Heroes

Sideshow’s done a bit of hocus pocus with their 1/6 scale super-heroes. They started with some Bat-villains with Harley Quinn, Joker, and Catwoman before revealing their Batman. At that point, I was a little intrigued. Then, the big blue boy scout himself, Superman, and I was starting to get hooked.

Now, in addition to Batman and Superman, they brought out Green Lantern and Flash from DC, and Deadpool and Wolverine from Sideshow’s newly-announced Marvel 1/6 line.

DC and Marvel, in the same scale, by the same company? Now, I’m done. Check out our Sideshow Collectibles 1/6 Scale DC and Marvel Super-Heroes pics and let me know what you think.

Sideshow Collectibles Announces 1/6 Scale Superman Figure

100088-superman-006

As much as I love the Hot Toys movie-based offerings, for years I’ve been jonesing for a comics-based line of DC superheroes. I thought there was an alternative with Play Imaginative’s New 52 line, but the high price of the Super Alloy diecast line coupled with the highly stylized look (see Batman and Superman) has dampened my enthusiasm.

But Sideshow has been stepping up to the plate – they’ve previously offered Harley Quinn, the Joker, Catwoman, and Batman, and now they’ve come to bat with the big blue boy scout himself. I’ll be hemming and hawing on these figures – the earlier ones look nice, but with Batman and Superman, there’s something a little overdone with their head sculpts – I like the look generally, but the emotions (creases and shading) might be a bit severe. What do you guys think?
