Check Out the G.I. JOE Online BOGO Deals During Toys R Us Two Day Sale

I’ve been getting email from Toys R Us advertising their “lowest prices of the season” during the two-day sale today and tomorrow – pushing deals at their bricks and mortar locations. While my local TRU has got deals on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spider-Man, and Star Wars in-store, that doesn’t mean online shoppers are left out in the cold.

The online store is running a Buy One Get One 50% Off deal on G.I. JOE right now.

Although prices of Joes have been going up, the BOGO deal helps a bit. There’s a total of forty-four items in the G.I. JOE BOGO sale right now. Happy shopping!

Toy Fair 2013: Playmates Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Playmates Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (16 of 25)

I’ve got to hand it to Playmates – they’ve really taken the license for Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and made a toyline that caters to kids and collectors alike. In its second year, the TMNT line is still kicking.

AFP’s Best of 2012 – Talyn’s Picks

Masters of the Universe Classics Castle GrayskullmanTransformers Optimus PrimeTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Raphael

2012 Was a pretty amazing year for toys. It was hard to narrow it down to one favorite figure for the year. A few contenders were the super-rad Castle Grayskullman from Master of the Universe Classics, and the Hasbro version of MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime. But in the end, pure child-like excitement and fun won the day with my number one choice.

A lot of new properties popped up like the new Nickelodeon TMNT line. This line really surprised everyone, myself included. The four main turtles were perfectly articulated, masterfully sculpted, and insanely low priced. I never would have imagined in 2012 we could get a great figure like this for under $8. That is why my choice is the new Playmates Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Raphael.

AFP’s Best of 2012 – Sandman’s Picks

Happy New Year everyone! Well, 2012 has come and gone, and like every year, Ron has asked us to pick our own Best of 2012!

I have to say, 2012 was a tough year for toy collecting for me. With prices going up across the board and my wife and I having our first baby this past July, the budget for toys had to be trimmed down. It didn’t help that there were so many awesome toys that came out during this year! Of the toys that I did manage to get, here’s my Top 5 for 2012!

#5 ThreeA Zombs

These guys were actually available for pre-order from ThreeA in November 2011, but since they came out in 2012 they’re on this list! They’re super articulated zombies with different head sculpts and uniforms and they were a hoot to play with! I wish I had an army of these! I also wish I had gotten one of those War Zombs!

Who is Your Best of 2012 Action Figure?

Best of 2012 Hopefuls

As we close in on the end of the year, I’ve been trying to figure who will make it to my short list of best action figures for 2012. I think I’ll have a tougher time this year than I had choosing my Best of 2011 figures, topped by the Marvel Universe Sentinel.

With one of my favorite lines, DC Universe Classics, scaling back, my collection became a little more varied this year. Masters of the Universe Classics remained a mainstay, but I also branched out into Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai lines, especially Street Fighter. And with more 3A Toys releases coming in the 1/12 scale, the Adventure Kartel Zombs became an expensive army building exercise. It also helped that this year saw the relaunch of Marvel Legends – oh how I’ve missed you, ML! There’s more – I had to pick up the fearsome foursome from the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line from Playmates. And Diamond Select Toys’ Marvel Minimates continued to put out tiny offerings that were too cute to pass up.

I’m sure as I look through the stuff I’ve picked up throughout the year, I’ll find even more figures that could top the list. But if you’ve got some obvious winners that I’ve missed, be sure to let me know. I’ve got some Free Stuff that could head your way, as I make room for the New Year!
