I happened on this while searching for more info on the upcoming Hot Toys Battle-Damaged Iron Man. Quantities are low on both the Sideshow exclusive and regular versions, so if you’re looking to pick up a John Connor from Terminator: Salvation, do it soon. The exclusive comes with the mini-computer he uses to reprogram Terminators and break into the Terminator factory. I believe it also doubles as Connor’s MP3 player. 😉
I first took notice of the Diamond Select Toys Ultimate Quarter Scale figures at Toy Fair this year with their Star Wars figures. Around 19-inches, lots of articulation, realistic head sculpts, and voice chip technology – at around $90 these are in a class by themselves.
Now they’ve added a Terminator 2 figure, with a pretty good Arnold Schwarzenegger headsculpt.

A couple of days ago Hot Toys published a picture of the headsculpt of their upcoming Marcus Wright figure from Terminator: Salvation. Today, they unleashed a set of pics of John Connor. It’s deemed the “final battle” version, but also includes a Hydrobot like the one he captures and uses in his test of the Terminator jamming signal earlier in the movie.
I wonder if there’s any 1/6 scale movie lights that he could knock over. 😉
It’s very tough to resist going whole hog into the 1/6 scale when I see stuff like this. I thought the Terminator Salvation movie was fine as a summer popcorn flick (T2 is still the king of the franchise), but hadn’t really had the urge to buy any toys from the movie… until now.
