Salem here with my second Hot Toys review. This time around I’m going to cover the Wolverine figure from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
After I received my DX01 Joker figure, I knew I was going to get sucked into buying another Hot Toys figure; I just wasn’t sure which one it would be. Then I saw the initial pictures of this figure, and knew what it would be.
A reader sent me a link to some very cool electronic equipment for Marvel fans. RTC23 has licensed the Marvel Universe of characters to develop Marvel character themed HDTVs. What makes these high-definition televisions unique is that they feature character art not only on the TV casing, but also on screen when you power on the unit. They have both modern and retro designs, in TVs ranging from 22 to 55 inches. Check out just a couple of the designs they have available.
Introducing the RTC23 Marvel Comics LCD & LED HDTVs. The RTC23 HDTVs feature the legendary characters of their respective Marvel hero on the TV casing. Not only are these TVs the finest LCD & LED televisions on the market, but when powered on the individual Marvel character will appear on the screen for approximately 8 seconds! The RTC23 Marvel Comics LCD & LED HDTVs are perfect for watching your favorite DVD’s, high-definition television, or playing video games. Ultimately the perfect TV or computer monitor!
MarvelousNews.com has posted pictures of the final prototype for the Hot Toys Marvel Movie Masterpiece Logan from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I think the head sculpt and paint apps are much improved since the first teaser image we saw back in June.
Sculpted by Kojun and painted by JC Hong, Hot Toys proudly presents the most mouth-watering figure from the latest X-men movie franchise – “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, staring Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine.
Hot Toys has picked up the movie licensing for Marvel, and from the announcement it appears they’ve got movies past and present. Want a 1/6 scale Halle Berry Storm to go with the upcoming Hot Toys X-Men Origins Wolvie? Yeah, ok, I know she wasn’t all that great. How about a Hannibal King from Blade 3? Well, it’s all possible now.
Yes, that is right folks. Hot Toys has the license to the Marvel Universe. And the pic above is the announcement teaser from HT’s official catalog.
For those who cannot read Japanese, here’s what the page says:
Yes, Movie Masterpiece. Not the comic versions. This means, for those who have longed for a good ‘movie Spidey’ 1/6th figure, you’re about to get one. And it’s the trilogy they’re doing which means you’ll not only get Spidey, but probably also the Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom, and Sandman to say the least!
And, you’ve got to check out the pictures Eddie has of Hot Toys stuff at the International Tokyo Toy Show. Fantastic pics! Here’s a very small sampling of the low res shots.
