Border Patrol: Marvel Legends Crossbones, Mystique, and Cyclops

Marvel Legends Crossbones 1 Marvel Legends Crossbones 2 Marvel Legends Crossbones 3

Marvel Legends Crossbones by fei long – I can really dig it when a customizer decides to make his own version of a character that’s already been made – this tops both of the Marvel Legends Crossbones that have come out, most recently in the SDCC exclusive Thunderbolts set – ends Oct 05, 2013 20:21:20 PDT

CustomCon 35 Wraps Up – Day Two

CustomCon 35 Day 2

It’s time for Summer CustomCon again! CustomCon 35 is hosted by our good friend Joe Acevedo, and wraps up with Day Two.

CustomCon is a fictional toy show, showcasing the work of action figure customizers. You won’t find these toys in your local toy store – at least not right away. I’ve heard from several toy makers that they often get inspiration from customs. So you never know! (Check out previous CustomCons and see for yourself.)

Day 2 features four entries: Superman The Animated Series 2014, a set of 3 3/4-inch Gotham’s Most Wanted figures, busts showing The Evolution of Magneto and Mystique, and another group of Game of Thrones busts. Enjoy!

Border Patrol: Marvel Legends Mutants – Rogue, Cyclops, and Juggernaut

Marvel Legends Rogue 1 Marvel Legends Rogue 2

Marvel Legends Jim Lee Rogue by Draubner – I don’t remember when it was in the comics that Rogue turned into another hot X-Female – when she first showed up as an X-Men baddie, she was short-haired and homely – I don’t think it was Jim Lee’s doing, but he certainly designed one of Rogue’s most popular looks, and this custom captures it with an envy-worthy smooth paint job – ends soon at Aug 06, 2013 11:32:42 PDT

SDCC 2013: Interview with Hasbro’s Marvel Team

Hasbro Marvel Diorama (2 of 12)

Sandman and I met with Adam Biehl (Vice President, Global Marvel Line at Hasbro) and Dwight Stall (Senior Marvel Product Design Manager, Hasbro) today for a brief conversation about Marvel Legends and the related 6-inch Marvel action figure lines. We talked about the health and direction of the Marvel lines, issues with distribution and the fate of running change variants, and more.

This was a great lead-in to the Hasbro Marvel panel, which we will be posting in full later this morning.
